Cultural And Archeological Sites Itinerary: 9 Days
Day 1: Arrival Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO)
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), after clearing all immigrations formalities. Met with your tour guide/representative and drive to Arusha for Dinner and overnight at Kibo Palace Hotel (BB).
Day02: Arusha Declaration Museum, Natural History Museum Visitation Tour & Meserani Snake Park
Arusha Declaration Museum, used to exhibits, precolonial history, shows stages of human development, fighting for independence, replica objects, Archeological objects, influence of colonial interactions, native people of Arusha, social, political and economic issues, it has both historic and anthropological findings.
Uhuru monument, Standing under the monument tower( nearest to Museum) which symbolizes the freedom of Tanzanian people which marking also the Arusha declaration of 1967, learn about Tanzania history and area of your interest through your guide at this comfortable point.
Natural history Museum, exhibits evolution of mankind, stages passed by human being, discovery of fire and Iron, natural science researches, stages of different Fauna and Flora, replica objects of various animals, you will see different Archeological objects which discovered at Ngorongoro including Skull of Zinjanthropus Boisei/Paranthropus Boisei etc . Day 03: Arusha-Engaruka
After breakfast, drive from Arusha heading to Engaruka Starting from the ruins you walk down to the green village of Engaruka. On your way you will visit several farms, where various crops are grown and get explanation about the current farming and irrigation methods in the area. Engaruka is one of the few places in East Africa where Maasai are practicing irrigation, but also other tribes have arrived to farm in the area. Your guide will give you extensive explanation about the tribal background in the village. On your way back you can visit the market area of Engaruka that is located in the shade of an African tulip tree and a huge mkuyu tree, especially on the market days- Sunday and Thursday a visit will be an unforgettable experience. Day 04: Engaruka-Lake Natron-Oldonyo Lengai
Early breakfast, drive from the hotel at Engaruka to Lake Natron with lunch boxes for scenic view and birds watching and experiencing Maasai culture, a place also contain various wild animals. Lake Natron lies in the northeast of Tanzania between the Ngorongoro highland and Serengeti national park at the base of Oldonyo Lengai the African active volcanic mountain in Tanzania in which Maasai ethnic group believes as” Oldonyo Lengai” Maasai word mean mountain of god and the fantastic story is when the volcano erupts they do believing that evils permeated, so they have to give sacrifices to please their god. The lake is Alkaline which is famous for breeding ground of lesser flamingo in the world with varieties of aquatic species. Dinner and overnight.

Day 05: Oldonyo Lengai hiking/Mountain of God/Astonishing Mountain
Today you will climb the Mountain of god in order to evidence the magnificent of this mountain which still attract many geologist and researchers to make more excavation and reaches about this unique active volcanic mountain in which during the night you might hear the tremendous vibration from the mountain. After summits you will have lunch at the Camp. Dinner and overnight.

Status: Only active volcano on the earth that erupts with carbonate- Natrocarbonatite (only in Tanzania)

Day06: Lake Natron- Ngorongoro Conservation Area. (Olduvai Gorge & Laetoli foot print)
After breakfast, drive heading to Ngorongoro Conservation Area via, with picnic lunch to Oldupai Gorge (Oldest evidence of mankind’s Evolution) which contains some of the earliest signs of mankind ever discovered. This ‘Cradle of Mankind’ has yielded abundant fossil material dating back at least two million years with origins of mankind. It was here (1959) that Mary and Louis Leakey discovered the remains of Nutcracker Man. Nearby, in Laitoli, (1979) Mary Leakey discovered the footprints of early hominids which are estimated to be over three million years old. The excavation sites have been preserved for public viewing, visitation, educational and researches purpose. The Archeologists still continue to explore the gorge every year for more exposition as the area is rich in terms of tangible and intangible cultural heritage where Man history can be traced. Day07: Lake Natron- Lake Eyasi
After breakfast drive from the hotel to Lake Eyasi. Lake Eyasi is a soda Lake found on the southern border of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area on the western rift valley wall. This area around Lake Eyasi inhabited by ethnic group known as the ‘Hadzabe’ (hunter-gatherer Bushmen). The tribe inhabits the shores of Lake Eyasi as do the Nilotic-speaking Datoga tribe. Lake Eyasi is a salt taste lake with various aquatic species. You will spend your day experiencing their authentic ways of life like local cuisine, local herbs with medicinal value, and their homesteads and get hunting with them, this Bushmen depending on hunting and gathering. Followed by lunch. Dinner and Overnight at Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge (FB)
Day08: Lake Eysi- Arusha via Meserani Snake Park
Breakfast, drive from Lake Eyasi to Arusha and drop to the hotel for dinner, rest of the day and overnight at Kibo Palace Hotel (HB)
Picked up from the hotel and transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for taking in your flight and back home or for you’re onwards arrangement.
