This tour will take you to Eastern Uganda and visit places like a source of the world’s longest river, The Nile river, Sipi falls, as well as Mountain Elgon. Enjoy whitewater rafting, bungee jump, village horse tours and so forth.
Day 1: Arrival
Arrival at Entebbe Airport where you will be welcomed by a 1000 Shades of Green representative and transferred to your accommodation in Entebbe. Overnight at Boma Guesthouse. B.B
Day 2: Kampala-Jinja 4-5Hrs Paved road
Our Guide picks you up from your Hotel ready for a drive to the Eastern part of Uganda. On your way to Jinja, you will visit Ssezibwa falls, take a nature walk at Mabira forest, and continue to the source of the River Nile. A tour to the Nile will take you through another life of adventure. A boat-ride at source offers an occasion to ride a little bit inside to where the waters of The Nile vividly separate from the waters of L. Victoria before it embarks on its long journey to the Mediterranean Sea. Dinner and Overnight at 2 Friends Hotel.B.L.D
Day 3: Full Day -Jinja
This day is open to various activities depending on the client’s interests. One would opt for white water rafting, Bungee jump, horseback safaris, quad biking, as well as village visits. All the above can be arranged at an extra cost prior to your arrival. Dinner and Overnight at 2 Friends Hotel. B.L.D
Day 4: Jinja-Mbale -3hrs
After breakfast, enjoy your ride to Mbale. Arrive in the early afternoon, check in and have lunch. After lunch, explore the magnificent Sipi falls and adjoining areas. Dinner and Overnight at Mbale Resort B.L.D
Day 5: Mountain Elgon Hike
After breakfast with packed lunch and snacks, head to the park headquarters and meet with the park guide(s)/Porter(s) for briefing. Ascend to the spectacular mountain using any of the selected three main trekking trails. Budadiri Forest exploration centre – Kapkwai and Kapwata are some of the trekking trails to choose from. Day 6: Departure–Mbale-Kampala (5-6Hrs)
Early breakfast and drive back to Kampala. Lunch break at Jinja town and return to Kampala where you will be dropped at your hotel. Dinner and Overnight at Cassia Lodge (B.L.D) NOTE: Depending on your available number of days and budget, it is possible to extend your itinerary to cover Nyero early man rock paintings in Kumi district.
Day 7: Half day-Kampala City tour-Departure
Take a city tour to some of Uganda’s historical and cultural sights of Uganda including the Baha’i Temple, Makerere University, Namugongo martyrs shrine, Owino Market, Kabaka’s Palace, Kasubi tombs and the craft markets. Lunch is not included, but transport provided to one of the many restaurants in Kampala. In the evening, drop off to the airport in time for your flight back home (B.)
