Day 1:  Arrival and transfer to your hotel

Today you will meet our highly skilled safari guide from 1000 Shades of Green who will welcome you and lead this 8-day Safari. You will be transferred to Hotel Millie Collines for Overnight. B.B

Day 2:  Kigali City Tour – Volcanoes

In the morning you will have a delicious breakfast and then drive back to the Kigali. There you will enjoy a thrilling city tour, and visit the handicraft market and the Genocide Memorial Site before being transferred to Volcanoes National Park found in the northern part of the country. This park is home to over 300 of the 800 mountain gorillas remaining in the entire world. In the late afternoon you will enjoy an Ib’iwachu Cultural Village Experience. You will dine and spend the night at Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge-B.L.D 

Day 3:  Gorilla Trekking Volcanoes national park – Rwanda

After an early breakfast you will drive to the park headquarters at Kinigi where you will be briefed by the park warden, assigned to a gorilla group to track basing on your physical fitness. At 8:00 am you will be transferred to the respective gorilla tracking starting points and then set out into the forest looking for the gorillas. The search for gorillas takes 1-6 hours traversing the forest paths. You will be spending an hour with the gorillas and afterwards head back to the starting point where you will find your vehicle. With packed lunch you will proceed to Uganda. Dinner and Overnight at Nkuringo Gorilla Camp. B.L.D 

Day 4:Gorilla Tracking – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest- Uganda

Today morning, we shall have breakfast early in the morning and then transfer to the headquarters of the park where we shall be briefed by the park rangers who will inform us about the gorillas tracking guidelines. Once you enter into the impenetrable forest you will begin looking for the giant gorillas and this will take between 2 and 8 hours, basing on the gorilla’s movement. You will be allowed to spend at most an hour observing the gorillas as they play, feed and care for each other as you take photographs and record videos. Later on in the evening there will be an optional cultural walk to visit the Batwa Pygmies who will also entertain you with traditional dances and songs. Dinner and Overnight at Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge. Day 5: Bwindi- Queen Elizabeth National Park

At 7:30AM, we calmly transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Ishasha sector for a chance to see the famous tree-climbing lions. Arrive at the lodge in the afternoon, check in your lodge and relax.  In the evening, we will go for an evening game drive in search for tree climbing lions and later retie at the lodge for Dinner and Overnight at Bush Lodge. Day 6: Game and Boat Cruise – Queen Elizabeth 

A morning game-drive today to Queen Elizabeth National Park’s diverse Eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. Later in the evening you will for a game drive in this park, with the massive Ruwenzori as a backdrop provides excellent opportunities to see lion, leopard, and giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephants, de fassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, Topi and bush buck. Then later proceed for an afternoon boat-cruise that offers an excellent platform for photography and game viewing. The birdlife is colorful and abundant. Return to the lodge for Dinner and Overnight at Bush Lodge. B.L.D

Day 7: Chimpanzee tracking – Lake Mburo

In the morning you will have a delicious breakfast and then drive back to the Kyambura Gorge for chimpanzee tracking. (optional for another $65 Per person). Arrive in time for lunch, check into your hotel. After Lunch drive to the Lake ready for a boat trip. Here expect to see species of birds, Hippos and other species of animals. The calmness of the lake with animals coming to drink water is another memorable experience. Later proceed for an evening game drive before retiring at your lodge for Dinner and Overnight at Mburo lodge. B.L.D

Day 8: Lake Mburo- Departure

n the morning, we will go for Safari on foot. Lake Mburo is the only park in Uganda where you can take a safari on foot. Expect to see, Impalas, Zebras, Elands only to mention but a few. Return to the lodge, pack your luggage in the car and enjoy your scenic drive to back. You will stop at the equator for pictures and later continue to Kampala. Depending on your departure time, visit the African craft markets and later be dropped off at Entebbe International airport for your next flight back home.
